The area is known for producing, every year, some of the finest trophies in the Yukon. All hunts are guided by some of the best and most experienced guides in the North Country. Depending upon your hunt location, we utilize horses, boats and backpacks. Due to the vastness of the area, we offer base camp cabins, remote tent camps and day camps in a variety of locations. We will do everything we can do to put our clients in the best area for their hunt. We are also cutting new trails and opening up areas that have never been hunted before; it is extremely exciting for us to bring our clients to new untouched areas.
Yukon Peak Outfitters is the sole outfitter operating in concession 11 in the southern part of the Yukon; this area is roughly 3,500 square miles. Our concession is greater in size than the combination of the two smallest U.S. states of Rhode Island and Delaware. With us, you are hunting in a vast area where some untouched land has yet to be hunted in the modern era.
Over the next 3-5 years, we plan to open the remaining areas of Yukon 11. We will scout, cut horse trails and carve out landing strips. We will be setting up additional spike camps. In these untouched areas, there should be some amazing moose and grizzly hunting opportunities. To better understand the vastness of our area and our conservation of our animals, we harvest approximately 35 trophies a year or an average of 1 for every 100 square miles.
In addition, we have an extremely strong predator control program to reduce the wolf population as wolves are our #1 predator of caribou, moose and young sheep.
